Hi, everyone, 

This term we are going to meet regularly on Monday (starting Oct. 9) 
afternoon, 3:30-4:30PM in Applied Mathematics Library. 

This term we will have two parallel themes:

1. We are going to study the book, "Computational Molecular
Biology" by P.A. Pevzner (2000).  As most of you know, this is 
an exciting, growing field on the boundary of mathematics, 
biology, and computer science.  Please check our webpage for

2. Some participants will be interested in choosing a recent
(year 2000) journal article to present.  The content will then
be determined by the presentor.  Announcement will ne sent out
prior to the meeting.

Our first two meetings will be covering the book, start from very 
beginning: chapter 1.  See you there.
