	I have put xeroxes of the preface, chapter 1,
chapter 2 and chapter 13 of

	P. A. Pevzner.  2000.  Computational Molecular
           Biology: An Algorithmic Approach.  MIT Press.

in the Applied Math Library (on the far left of the top
shelf on the right).  You might want to read the preface,
chapter 13 (3 pages), and chapter 1 (18 pages) for the 
first meeting on October 9.  Hong may have more detailed
directions.  Chapter 13 is a short introduction to
"all you need to know about molecular biology".

	I have also ordered two more copies of the
book from MIT Press.  They should arrive next week.
