[AMath 383] Supplement to lecture notes

Dear class members,

As I was getting ready for class today, I noticed that I used an older 
version source for my lecture notes on the example of the chemostat in 
Lecture Notes set 1. Please see that I have posted a supplement to the 
course website that gives a much better (in my opinion) motivation for 
the mass balance formulation to a simple chemostat model.

In particular, you may find it helpful in setting up homework problem 
#3.

Also, I updated a reference on the University computer system so that 
the course website should now be linked from your class schedule at 
www.myuw.washington.edu. If anyone wants to let me know how that works 
from your side of the system as students, let me know. This might 
provide an easy way for you to link to the website rather than need to 
remember how to get there directly. You can also get to it from the 
main AMath website: www.amath.washington.edu.
