| Department of Applied Mathematics, University of Washington |
The Applied Mathematics Department is almost 25 years old and has much to celebrate. Guggenheim Hall has been completely remodeled into a beautiful new home for the department. Several new faculty members have recently joined us. Our graduate program is thriving, with roughly 50 PhD students and 55 MS students currently enrolled.
We also have an incredible group of alumni scattered throughout the world, working in a variety of interesting academic, laboratory, and industrial positions. We thought it would be fun to get together to renew old friendships and make new connections. Please join us for an alumni reunion and celebration of the department April 3-5, 2009.
Friday evening there will be a reception and opportunity to tour the renovated Guggenheim.
Saturday there will be a series of talks by some alumni and new faculty members.
Saturday evening there will be a buffet dinner and poster session [poster info]. All alumni and current students are invited to present a poster if you wish, on your current work or any other activity you'd like to make a poster about!
Sunday morning there will special brunch retirement party for Bill Criminale and Bob O'Malley. All are invited to attend. More information on the schedule will be available soon.
The Friday and Saturday events and associated meals will be free of charge for alumni and their guests.
Please RSVP indicating what events you can come to by Friday, March 27: RSVP form
Alumni: please RSVP even if you can't come, to help update our records.
