to support K-8 teachers and their students in understanding mathematics

your teaching and tutoring experiences, your experiences
working with children, your leadership qualities, conference
talks or presentations you have given, published papers, and
volunteer or group-related experiences.

three (3) pages or 1500 words describing (1) your
vision for contributing to GK-12 education by being a ``mathematics
specialist,'' (2) your teaching-related experiences, and
(3) your ideas about education, particularly K-12 education.
Be sure to include information about the extent of your
preparation in a mathematics, science, or an engineering discipline.
Describe how participating in this program
would further your own career goals.
