I am a graduate student in the Applied Mathematics Department at the University of Washington.  I currently am doing research on numerical methods for hyperbolic conservation laws and geophysical fluid dynamic applications.  The emphasis of my research is on debris flows which include things like land slides, lahars, and avalanches.  This includes tsunami modeling and volcanic modeling as well.

I like to hike and climb tall things and overall just do some cool stuff outdoors.  Check out my photos for some ideas of what I like to do and have done.
