Math Ecology Journal Club

Greetings all. Welcome back to another exciting year at UW.
Hopefully you are all as eager to get to work as Jan and I.
There will be an organizational meeting of the Math Ecology
Journal Club.

Thursday, at 3:30, in Amath Library, 4th floor.

At this meeting, we will schedual a weekly meeting time and discuss
potential topics for this quarter. Those unable to attend but wishing to
participate are encouraged forward schedualling conflicts to Mr. Medlock
<medlock@amath.washington.edu> or myself <treluga@amath.washington.edu>.
Returning veterans are encourage to come with atleast one proposal for a
this quarter's topic.

For those of you unfamiliar with it, MEJC is a forum for the
study of contemporary research in mathematical population biology. Last
year, for example, we read the first half of the book, "Evolutionary Games
and Population Dynamics". First year students are especially encourage to
attend and participate, but everybody is welcome.
