Schedule for Spring 2007:
- April 4: Organizational meeting at 11:30 in Condon 301.
- April 11: Randy LeVeque will lead discussion of supraconvergence,
based on
- April 18: Kyle Mandli will lead a discussion on better bounds on
global errors for ODE solvers. We will primarily discuss the material
from two papers by Divakar Viswanath:
- April 25: Siva Sankrithi will lead a discussion of numerical analysis at the high school
level,
discussing topics currently covered in high school, topics that could possibly be incorporated,
and computer programs and their usefulness/limitations in a high school environment.
- May 2: David Ketcheson - Strong stability preserving ODE solvers
- May 9: George Turkiyyah, Scientific computing on graphical processor units,
