Sarah E. Hewitt

Biography:

I was born in Detroit, but raised in Kasota Minnesota, a small town in the south central part of the 'Land of 10,000 Lakes.' After graduating from Hamline University, a small liberal arts college in St. Paul, Minnesota, I started my graduate work at the University of Washington in the Department of Applied Mathematics. I received my master's degree from UW in 2001 and am currently working on my PhD. My research area is nonlinear optics, specifically the behavior of optical parametric oscillators.
