Title:

Evolutionary Algorithms and Global Optimization

Time: 2:30 PM, Thursday, 5/3/07

Abstract:

I will discuss Global Optimization and a class of algorithms used to attack the problem - evolutionary algorithms. After a basic introdcution into these methods I will discuss my current research which specifically looks at how the population in an evolutionary algorithm generates new operating points and then evolves.
