Title:

Two-Stage Model for Cancer Risk from Low Dose Radiation

Time: 3:30 PM, Thursday, 03/11/04

Place: Guggenheim Room 408d

Abstract.

In this talk I will introduce the stochastic two-stage model of carcinogenesis, which is the process by which a normal cell becomes a cancerous cell. Then, I will explain hazard function and its probability using the actual data. Here I would like to show that even small amounts of radiation can cause some type of cancer.
